Eyebrow Hair Man

Students - this poem is a bit strange, I admit. But I wanted to write a poem, and I was not feeling serious at all. Our cat Mini Monster has very long toe hair, and that got me thinking about all kinds of hair in strange places: on our toes, in our ears, growing from moles, even very long eyebrow hairs. Somehow this man-with-the-sixteen-inch-eyebrow-hair emerged from all of those funny thoughts.
It's fun to allow your brain to take a "silly break" sometimes. You never know what will come from such play. If you'd told me a couple of days ago that I'd be writing a poem about eyebrow hair, I would have laughed. The brain is an unusual country, and it's exciting to explore all of its mountains and valleys.
What can we learn from the eyebrow man?
Be yourself, in all of your beautiful strangeness!

ReplyDeleteIt's a little bit embarrassing, this poem! I realized the next day that you can sing it to the tune of "The Muffin Man"! Maybe I will write a nose hair poem...hmmm...
