So true -- there are so many poems to love. Add this one to my list!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I'm in love with poems, too.
ReplyDeleteAmy, Lori and I read this at a staff development today and LOVE it! I am so glad that you write a poem each day! I am looking forward to reading them!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the last two lines!
ReplyDeleteBecky is right, it is beautiful....I am committing it to memory so that I don't misquote it.....thanks for writing it.....
ReplyDeleteAmy, I am not sure where else to send this question....You had mentioned a "poet of the month" bulletin board and I LOVE that idea but would you please send me the names of some "meaty" children's poets that are writing for first graders? I want to get some of the legwork done for those boards now! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear poetry friends, for visiting on this creepy, yet poetic, Friday the 13th.
ReplyDeleteLori, please send me your e-mail address and I will send you a list of some good possibilities. I'm excited you're doing this and can't wait to hear how it goes.
